जवाब- एसआरके राजस्थान टाइगर्स जीतने और बढ़ने के जुनून और दृढ़ संकल्प से पैदा हुई टीम है। हम यहां टेनिस के खेल में निवेश करने और उसे बढ़ावा देने में मदद करने के लिए हैं, लेकिन हम यहां केवल नम्बर्स भरने के लिए नहीं हैं, हम यहां जीतने के लिए हैं!

प्रश्न 2. आप लॉन-टेनिस के बारे में अधिक जागरूकता पैदा करने के बारे में कैसे सोचती हैं या योजना बनाती हैं जबकि भारत जैसा देश जो क्रिकेट का दीवाना है?

जवाब- मुझे लगता है कि भारत जैसे विशाल देश में कई खेलों के अस्तित्व के लिए पर्याप्त जगह है। इसे एक की जगह लेने या दूसरे के साथ लड़ने की ज़रूरत नहीं है। हमने देखा कि हमारे खिलाड़ियों को ओलंपिक में जो सम्मान मिला है, वह कबड्डी और बैडमिंटन जैसी लीगों को मिला है, और टेनिस को भी! और यह क्रिकेट के साथ-साथ रहा है, इसके बजाय नहीं। इसलिए हम आशा करते हैं कि इस लीग के साथ हम युवा प्रतिभाओं का समर्थन और पोषण कर सकते हैं, खेल पर ध्यान आकर्षित कर सकते हैं और एक सपोर्ट सिस्टम बना सकते हैं जो खेल को बढ़ने में मदद करेगी।

सवाल 3. आप इस प्रतिष्ठित टूर्नामेंट में अपनी टीम की संभावना को कैसे देखती हैं? अन्य बड़ी टीमें भी मुकाबला कर रही हैं।

जवाब- बेशक बहुत सारी बेहतरीन टीमें हैं, और उनमें से अधिकांश पहले से ही कुछ सीज़न के अनुभव के साथ हैं, लेकिन हमें उस टीम पर भरोसा है जिसे हमने बनाया है, और हमारे सहयोगी स्टाफ के साथ, चैंपियन बनने से कम का लक्षय हमारा नही है।

प्रश्न 4. इस टीम को बनाने में आपकी प्राथमिकता वाले क्षेत्र क्या हैं?

जवाब- हम युवाओं और अनुभव का मिश्रण बनाना चाहते हैं। टीपीएल अंडर-14 और अंडर-18 आयु वर्ग के और वरिष्ठ खिलाड़ियों के साथ कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर एक अनूठा अवसर प्रस्तुत करता है, और हम उस एक्सपोजर को अधिकतम करना चाहते हैं ताकि प्रतिभा पनप सके। लेकिन हम निश्चित रूप से रोमांचक टेनिस खेलना चाहते हैं, और एक ऐसी टीम बनाना चाहते हैं जिसे हमारे प्रशंसक प्यार और समर्थन कर सकें।

प्रश्न5. आपका कभी खेल का बैकग्राउंड नहीं रहा है फिर आप इस क्षेत्र में कैसे आईं?

जवाब- खेल एक ऐसी चीज़ है जो कल्पनाओं को पकड़ सकती है और लोगों का ऐसा मनोरंजन कर सकती है जैसा कुछ और नहीं। यह एक ऐसा एवेन्यू भी है जो युवाओं को विकसित करने, वयस्कों को फिट रखने में मदद करता है, और कुल मिलाकर एक अविश्वसनीय जीवन शैली को बढ़ावा देता है। तो मनोरंजन और स्वास्थ्य के उस संगम के साथ, मुझे लगता है कि यह केवल समय की बात थी कि मैंने इस क्षेत्र में प्रवेश किया!

प्रश्न 6. भारत में लॉन-टेनिस की वर्तमान स्थिति के बारे में आप क्या सोचती हैं? और आप इसकी भविष्य की संभावनाओं की कल्पना कैसे करती हैं?

जवाब- मुझे लगता है कि स्टेकहोल्डर्स बहुत अच्छा काम कर रहे हैं, और यह अभी और लोगों की महत्वाकांक्षाओं का समर्थन करने की प्रतीक्षा कर रहा है। हमने अतीत में भारतीयों को उच्चतम स्तर पर ख्याति प्राप्त करते देखा है, इसलिए निश्चित रूप से बहुत कुछ सकारात्मक रहा है। मुझे लगता है कि टीपीएल जैसी लीग, और युवाओं में निवेश, बुनियादी ढांचे, खिलाड़ियों के समर्थन के साथ, यह साल दर साल बढ़ता ही जा रहा है।

प्रश्न 7. आपकी टीम की ताकत क्या है? क्या खिलाड़ी किसी विशेष प्रशिक्षण के लिए जा रहे हैं?

जवाब- हमारे पास खिलाड़ियों की एक बेहतरीन टीम है। हमारे पास प्रजनेश के रूप में भारत के सबसे वरिष्ठ खिलाड़ियों में से एक खिलाड़ी मौजूद है, और निश्चित रूप से आर्यन एक रोमांचक और अनुभवी खिलाड़ी है। यह पहला सीजन भी है जब टीपीएल में एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय खिलाड़ी होगा और हमें डायना मिली है जो अपने साथ कुछ शानदार टेनिस लाएगी। और हमें कुछ बेहतरीन प्रतिभाएं मिली हैं। टीम निश्चित रूप से एक साथ कुछ समय बिताएगी, और हर कोई जो अनूठा नजरिया लाता है वह पूरी टीम को ऊपर उठाना सुनिश्चित करता है।

जवाब- हाँ, यह देखना बहुत प्रेरणादायक है कि उन्होंने पंजाब किंग्स इलेवन टीम का कितना अच्छा नेतृत्व किया है, और मैं देख रही हूँ कि क्या मैं उनसे और निश्चित रूप से दूसरे टीम मालिकों से कोई सुझाव ले सकती हूँ।

प्रश्न 9. इसी से जुड़ा एक सवाल, क्या आप एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय टीम को संभालने और पुरुष खिलाड़ियों के साथ मुकाबला करने को लेकर कोई दबाव महसूस कर रही हैं?

जवाब- मुझे नहीं लगता कि मैं किसी और की तुलना में अधिक दबाव महसूस कर रही हूँ। हां, खेल मैनेजमेंट भूमिकाओं में महिलाओं का प्रतिनिधित्व कम है, लेकिन क्षमताएं और कौशल पूरे बोर्ड में समान हैं। मुझे लगता है कि यह मेरे लिए एसआरके राजस्थान टाइगर्स जैसी टीम का नेतृत्व करने का एक शानदार अवसर है, और हमारे पुरुष और महिला एथलीटों और सहयोगी स्टाफ के साथ, मैं एक सफल टीम बनाने के लिए तत्पर हूं।

प्रश्न10. आपका ऑल टाइम पसंदीदा टेनिस खिलाड़ी कौन है?

जवाब- मुझे नहीं लगता कि कोई रोजर फेडरर से आगे देख सकता है!

टेनिस प्रीमियर लीग (टीपीएल) एसआरके राजस्थान की नई महिला बॉस हैं सियोना झंवर

India’s favourite pastime is now in a competitive avatar! Panja or arm-wrestling is one of the most iconic sports of all times. Having successfully drawn people across all ages and genders, Parvin Dabas and Preeti Jhangiani’s Pro-Panja League, let the forearms of their participants do the talking. Emulating the league format, arm-wrestling, a sport seeped in Indianness, saw a tough competition. Harman Mann vs Sameer VT saw Sameer VT’s victory. Similarly, Attar Singh vs Mohammed Hashim saw Mohammed Hashim emerge victorious.

In the women’s segment, Karishma Kapoor vs Parampreet Kaur saw the latter’s win while Madhura KN vs Anslet Jose saw Madhura KN triumphant. In a bid to promote inclusiveness of the specially abled, Manish Kumar vs Butta Singh was scheduled which saw Manish Kumar score an inspiring victory. Both Manish and Butta have been battling polio! Apart from these, the audiences also witnessed interesting line-ups featuring Sanjay Deswal vs Syed Mahaboob and Shruti Bawa vs Jincy Jose which saw Sanjay Deswal and Jincy Jose triumph over their opponents.

The co-main event for the 80kgs Champion belt, Karaj Virk vs Sachin Goyal which, interestingly, was actually a rematch which saw Karaj Virk retain his championship. The main event for the Mega Champion Belt and the title of the No. 1 Arm-Wrestler of India at the Pro-Panja League saw Sunil Kumar vs Dilshad that saw Sunil emerge victorious!

This eventful line-up for the Pro-Panja League was followed by inspiring performances for the eager and energetic crowds. Besides Parvin Dabas and Preeti Jhangiani, the tournament held at Radio Club Pier, Colaba, witnessed actor Ranvir Shorey, Miss India World Manasa Varanasi, Miss Grand India Manika Sheokand and Miss India Runner Up Manya Singh, Pran Pratim Chaliha (Treasurer of Indian Arm Wrestling Federation), Hashim Reza Zaveth (President of Indian Arm Wrestling Federation), Mustafa Ali (Head Referee of Indian Arm Wrestling Federation) among other dignitaries and participants of the league. 

An interesting facet of the evening was that the newly crowned Miss India Beauties had a special entry.

The sport now has a competitive avatar that has successfully drawn people across all ages and the followers including genders, thanks to this competition. In a unique bid in athletics to let your forearms do the talking, Pro-Panja is emulating the league format for arm-wrestling!

“Panja is an internationally acclaimed sport, seeped in Indianness! That’s what the Pro-Panja League stands for,” expressed actors Parvin Dabas and Preeti Jhangiani, the brains behind Pro-Panja League, at a press conference held at Sofitel, BKC. Besides Parvin Dabas and Preeti Jhangiani, the press conference witnessed Pran Pratim Chaliha (Treasurer of Indian Arm Wrestling Federation), Hashim Reza Zaveth (President of Indian Arm Wrestling Federation), Mustafa Ali (Head Referee of Indian Arm Wretling Federation) among other dignitaries and participants of the league. An interesting facet of the evening was that members of the media fraternity also participated in friendly panja matches!

The maiden venture, with ardent followers including 5,000 male and 2,000 female arm wrestlers in the amateur levels saw 400 athletes from 18 states, with Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju and Padma Shri Olympic Boxer Vijender Singh with an undefeated streak, not just making their presence felt at the maiden Pro-Panja League, but also participating in an exhibition match where, instead of shaking hands, they wrestled arms. This was seen to be motivating for the youth, who then flocked in numbers towards the amateur arm wrestling tables set up for the youth to try their hands!

Talking about the origins of the sport in India, Parvin Dabas avered, “Eugene Sandow, the father of bodybuilding visited Mumbai in 1904. This was at the invitation of Sir Dhunjibhoy Bomanji, a shipping magnate and a popular socialite! Sandow’s visit created a great impact and before we knew it, the homegrown Panja became a household thing!”

“The league has spawned an emerging hub of contenders from Punjab, MP, Haryana, Mizoram, Manipur and Kerala! One of the most iconic sports of all times, Arm Wrestling is often referred to as India’s favourite pastime! The sport now has a competitive avatar that has successfully drawn people across all ages and the followers including genders, thanks to this competition. In a unique bid in athletics to let your forearms do the talking, Pro-Panja is emulating the league format for arm-wrestling!
“Panja is an internationally acclaimed sport seeped in Indianness! That’s what the Pro-Panja League stands for,” expresses actors Parvin Dabas and Preeti Jhangiani, the brains behind Pro-Panja League, set to take arm wrestling to the next level in India!
The maiden venture, with ardent followers including 5,000 male and 2,000 female arm wrestlers in the amateur levels saw 400 athletes from 18 states, with Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju and Padma Shri Olympic Boxer Vijender Singh with an undefeated streak, not just making their presence felt at the maiden Pro-Panja League, but also participating in an exhibition match where, instead of shaking hands, they wrestled arms. This was seen to be motivating for the youth, who then flocked in numbers towards the amateur arm wrestling tables set up for the youth to try their hands!
Talking about the origins of the sport in India, Parvin Dabas avers, “Eugene Sandow, the father of bodybuilding visited Mumbai in 1904. This was at the invitation of Sir Dhunjibhoy Bomanji, a shipping magnate and a popular socialite! Sandow’s visit created a great impact and before we knew it, the homegrown Panja became a household thing!”

Promoting fitness in the long run, thousands of Mumbaikars assembled in the scenic heart of suburban Mumbai, Juhu. The Parinee Juhu half marathon was divided into two timed race events of 21km and 10km besides an untimed race of 4km, each of which culminated at the starting point, that is the Jamnabai Narsee School Grounds. With fitness icon Hrithik Roshan as the brand ambassador who has been imparting continual support since the inception of the marathon, this year, actors Zayed Khan and Sonnalli Seygall made their presence felt at the flag-off, bright and early at 5:30 in the morning!The route was through the tree-covered JVPD bylanes commencing from Jamnabai Narsee School Grounds, and crossing the iLoveMumbai sign, JW Marriott, Juhu Promenade to the newly renovated Lions Garden towards Bandra National College finally reaching Amarson store in Bandra and then taking U-turn from there to finally ending at Nana Nani Park – Versova.

The fourth edition of the Parinee Juhu Half Marathon witnessed the facilitation of a noble and charitable cause, paediatric heart surgeries! Organized by Get Fit through Sports Foundation and the Rotary Club of Mumbai Airport under the aegis of Maharashtra State District Athletic Association (MSDAA), the certification issued by the Parinee Juhu Half Marathon is valid for all major marathons. The event was followed by prize distribution at the hands of the celebrities.
Bharat Kapadia, Chairman of GetFit Thru Sports Foundation said, “It is always a pleasure to be associated with the Parinee Juhu Half Marathon. Collectively, all of us have done a mountain’s work in very less time and I’m glad we could pull this sporting event off so well!”
Biren Parekh, President of Rotary Club of Bombay Airport averred, “Our hearts beat for theirs! Our club tries its best to take responsibility of these children. Through sheer dedication and collective effort, we have made this marathon possible for the fourth time now!”

जायेद खान और सोनाली सहगल ने परिणी जुहू हाफ मैराथन २०२० में हजारों मुंबईकरों का बढ़ाया हौसला 
लम्बी दौड़ के जरिए फिटनेस को बढ़ावा देते हुए, हजारों मुंबईकर जुहू में इकट्ठे हुए। परिणी जुहू हाफ मैराथन को २१ किमी और 10 किमी की दो समयबद्ध दौड़ स्पर्धाओं में विभाजित किया गया था, इन दो विभाजित दौड़ के अलावा ४ किमी की एक और अनियोजित दौड़ का भी आयोजन किया गया था । इस प्रत्येक दौड़  का आरंभ बिंदु जमनाबाई नरसी स्कूल का मैदान से हुआ था। फिटनेस आइकन माने जाने वाले अभिनेता रितिक रोशन जो की इस मैराथन के ब्रांड एंबेसडर के रूप में  मैराथन की शुरुआत से लगातार समर्थन मिलता  रहा है, इस साल, अभिनेता जायद खान और सोनाली सहगल ने सुबह 5:30 बजे झंडा लहराकर इस मैराथन की शुरुआत हुई।
इस मैराथन का मार्ग जमनाबाई नरसी स्कूल मैदान से शुरू होने वाले पेड़ से ढके जेविपिडी  और आई लव मुम्बइऊ साइन, JW मैरियट, जुहू प्रोमेनेड को पार करके बांद्रा नेशनल कॉलेज की ओर से नव पुनर्निर्मित गार्डन में पहुंचा और अंत में बांद्रा में अमरसन स्टोर तक पहुंच गया और फिर वापसी का रास्ता लेकर अंत में नाना  नानी पार्क – वर्सोवा में समाप्त हुआ।

गेटफिट थ्रू स्पोर्ट्स फाउंडेशन के अध्यक्ष भरत कपाड़िया ने कहा, “परिणीति जुहू हाफ मैराथन के साथ जुड़े रहना हमेशा खुशी की बात है। सामूहिक रूप से, हम सभी ने बहुत कम समय में पहाड़ का काम किया है और मुझे खुशी है कि हम इस खेल आयोजन को इतनी अच्छी तरह से हिस्सा लिया हैं! ”
रोटरी क्लब ऑफ बॉम्बे एयरपोर्ट के अध्यक्ष बिरेन पारेख ने कहा, “हमारा दिल उनके लिए धड़कता है! हमारा क्लब इन बच्चों की जिम्मेदारी लेने की पूरी कोशिश करता है। सरासर समर्पण और सामूहिक प्रयास के माध्यम से, हमने चौथी बार इस मैराथन को यशस्वी और संभव बनाया है! ”
