Angel Tetarbe Received  Hindustan Ratan Award In Mumbai

The birthday of India’s world-renowned industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata was celebrated at the National Association for the Blind (NAB) Department of Rehabilitation, Anand Niketan, Mahalaxmi, Mumbai. The event was organized by K. Ravi (Dada), Managing Director of India Media Link & Events Management. Alok Kumar Kasliwal (Owner of S. Kumar Group) was the chief guest, and Ravindra Jain was the guest of honor. A selfie point dedicated to Ratan Tata was inaugurated at the venue. Several dignitaries, including actors Bobby Vats, Balasaheb Gaikwad, Suresh Ji, and Pritam Athawale, were present at the social event.

On this occasion, the event organizer, K. Ravi Dada, conveyed a social message to the nation through the media, appealing to the public to switch off their lights for 10 minutes every year on December 28th, Ratan Tata’s birthday. He said this would save billions of units of electricity in the country, and Tata Power would be able to provide cheaper electricity to Mumbai city, and this step would also prove beneficial for areas in the country with limited access to electricity.

Ravi Dada said that his company, India Media Link & Events Management, has been operating for 26 years. This is a company that has given ordinary people and tribal communities a helicopter tour of Mumbai. They also provided helicopter tours of Mumbai to 200 children from various hospitals, including the Tata Cancer Hospital. He said, “I always think big. We are trying to put up a banner of Ratan Tata on the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. On January 28, 2026, we will hold a program in the water called ‘ Ratan Tata ki Jayanti mein, Lahron Ki Masti Mein.’

Chief guest Alok Kumar Kasliwal (Owner of S. Kumar Group) said, “I still believe that Ratan Tata is still with us. I became quite emotional after coming to the National Association for the Blind. I also had eye problems, and I cured them without any medicine. Your body is the cure for your eyes. Medicine doesn’t help; allopathy has the most side effects. Eat green vegetables like spinach, and sit in the sunlight for 20 minutes. Eye yoga improves vision, and you shouldn’t eat bread and butter. We will try to get all visually impaired people jobs in good corporate companies where they will be respected. I thank K. Ravi ji for creating this large platform. It doesn’t even feel right to call such talented children “blind.”

Advocate Yadav ji said that our country has people like Ravi Dada who celebrated Ratan Tata’s birthday and whose aim is to give sight to the visually impaired.

Actor Bobby Vats said that Ratan Tata has contributed to every field. I am grateful to Ravi Dada for organizing this event. It is a welfare initiative for the visually impaired.

Ravindra Jain said that he wishes that if a new airport is built, it should be named after Ratan Tata. K. Ravi Dada said that he is a dancer and singer and works in production. He has been associated with Bollywood for many years and is very fond of reading books. Ravi Dada expressed his gratitude for the support of Anand Niketan and Alok Kumar Kasliwal.

स्थानीय नागरिकों के अनुसार, बृजेश सिंह लंबे समय से क्षेत्र में सक्रिय रहे हैं। वार्ड के एक बुजुर्ग नागरिक ने बातचीत में कहा कि “चुनाव का परिणाम बाद में आएगा, लेकिन सामाजिक कार्यों के आधार पर जनता अपनी राय पहले ही बना चुकी है।”

नागरिकों का कहना है कि वे बृजेश सिंह को एक सक्रिय जनप्रतिनिधि के रूप में देखते आए हैं।

Between Form and Silence – Solo Exhibition by Asha Shetty

Between Form and Silence is a solo exhibition by Mumbai-based contemporary artist Asha Shetty, presented at Jehangir Art Gallery, Kala Ghoda. The exhibition brings together recent works in acrylic and ink on canvas that move between abstraction and figuration, exploring states of balance, transition, and inward contemplation.

Shetty’s practice is grounded in rigorous training in drawing and painting, supported by formal study of Indian aesthetics. Her works do not follow narrative structures; instead, they invite slow looking and quiet engagement. Figures appear as inward-facing presences rather than portraits, existing as states of being. These are placed in dialogue with abstract structures, subtle geometric rhythms, and elements drawn from nature and ritual.

Material process plays a central role in the artworks. Working with acrylic, ink, collage, and layered textures, Shetty builds surfaces gradually through addition, erosion, and restraint. Marks remain visible, carrying traces of time and decision, while the balance between what is revealed and what is concealed is carefully maintained.

Colour, symmetry, and surface rhythm guide the viewer’s experience, creating compositions that hold stillness without becoming static. The artworks resist immediate interpretation, allowing meaning to unfold through sustained viewing.

The past year marks a new phase in Shetty’s artistic journey, where traditional sensibilities intersect with contemporary abstraction. ‘Between Form and Silence’ offers a reflective space within the gallery, inviting viewers to pause, observe, and engage with a visual language shaped by quiet intensity and considered restraint.

While rooted in timeless philosophy, the storytelling is entertaining, visually rich, and emotionally engaging — combining theatre, music, dance, and multimedia.

The play reveals lesser-known moments and perspectives from Shri Krishn’s life.

Director’s Vision

Rajiiv Singh Dinkaar says that the direction blends performative storytelling with immersive visuals and symbolic stage language — using space, sound, and light to transform emotion into experience. The tone is poetic yet modern, philosophical yet entertaining. Each scene is envisioned as a painting in motion — where theatre meets visual art and spiritual exploration.

Through this play, the director seeks to awaken a dialogue — not about worship, but about awareness.  The intent is for every viewer to leave not asking, “Who is Shri Krishn?”, but realizing, “Shri Krishn is within me.

Grand आयोजन of DPSA Para Powerlifting Championship in Delhi

The Divyang Para Sports Association of Delhi (DPSA) successfully organized the 3rd Senior and 2nd Junior & Sub-Junior Delhi State Para Powerlifting Championship 2025–26 on Saturday, 27 December 2025, at the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium, New Delhi. The event emerged as a powerful confluence of social commitment and sporting excellence.

On this dignified occasion, Vinay Kumar Dubey, Chairman of VKDL NPA Advisory Council, renowned advocate and member of the Hindi Advisory Committee (Rajbhasha Department), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, was specially honoured. The honour was conferred in recognition of his significant social contributions, active role in financial reforms, and steadfast commitment to nation-building.

The championship was inaugurated in the august presence of Dr. Arvind Menon, National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, IPS Devesh Srivastava, Special Commissioner of Delhi Police, and distinguished guest Vinay Kumar Dubey.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Arvind Menon stated that initiatives like Khelo India and Fit India are providing opportunities for every section of society to move forward.

Meanwhile, IPS Devesh Srivastava lauded the courage, discipline, and dedication of para athletes and encouraged them to excel at national and international platforms.

Parul Singh, President of DPSA, said that the championship is a significant step towards strengthening para sports in the national capital.

While accepting the honour, Vinay Kumar Dubey remarked,

“Divyang athletes are the real strength of our nation. Being part of such events and boosting their morale is a matter of great pride for me.”

Notably, VKDL NPA Advisory Council is currently working across the country in coordination with banks to resolve major Non-Performing Asset (NPA) cases. Active in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, the organization is helping businesses overcome debt stress and contributing towards the vision of a debt-free India.

Vinay Kumar Dubey’s active involvement in social initiatives has also been widely appreciated. His recent efforts, including the organization of a large-scale Brahmin Convention, cow protection, and various social welfare activities, have established him as a sensitive and people-centric leader.

In political circles, discussions are gaining momentum that if the Bharatiya Janata Party offers him an opportunity in the future—from his native district Pratapgarh (Patti) or his karmabhoomi Mumbai—he may step into active politics.

*  2021 – भीषण ठंड के बीच 500 बेसहारा लोगों को कपड़े और कंबल वितरित कर राहत पहुंचाई।

*  2022 – एड्स पीड़ित मासूम बच्चों को अपनी बहन मानकर उनकी सेवा की और समाज को संवेदनशीलता का संदेश दिया।

*  2023 – जन्मदिन को ‘जन्म सप्ताह’ के रूप में मनाया और 7 दिनों के भीतर जरूरतमंदों को ₹1 लाख की आर्थिक मदद दी।

*  2024 – पूरा सप्ताह सड़क किनारे रहने वाले लोगों के बीच बिताया, उन्हें मिठाई, कपड़े और कंबल वितरित किए।

*  2025 – इस वर्ष गाजियाबाद स्थित वृद्धाश्रम में बुजुर्गों की सेवा, उनके साथ समय बिताकर और बड़े स्तर पर अनुदान देकर अपना जन्मदिन समर्पित किया।

गरीबों की बुलंद आवाज

​दीपक सारस्वत का मानना है कि ईश्वर ने हमें जो कुछ भी दिया है, उसका एक अंश समाज के उन लोगों के पास जाना चाहिए जिन्हें उसकी सबसे ज्यादा जरूरत है। इसी सोच के कारण आज वे गरीबों और जरूरतमंदों की सबसे मजबूत आवाज बनकर उभरे हैं।

तीन मिलियन व्यूज पार किया शिल्पी राज और माही श्रीवास्तव का वायरल भोजपुरी गाना ‘दिलवा में रखिहा’

India, December 16, 2025:  The release of the world’s first Sovereignty Index by the International Burke Institute, assessing all UN member states across political, economic, technological, informational, cultural, cognitive, and military dimensions, has sparked urgent debate on India’s education and knowledge autonomy.  Early findings on cognitive sovereignty have placed India under the spotlight.

The Index, unveiled on December 14, indicates that despite India’s demographic strength and economic momentum, the country needs further structural reforms to improve its ability to independently produce knowledge, nurture critical thinking, and control its intellectual and digital ecosystems. As per International Burk Institute ranking India occupies 24^th rank in overall Index, however in  Cognitive Sovereignty Index, the country ranks 130th out of 193 countries.

The findings have triggered sharp commentary from education and knowledge-system experts. Commenting on India’s ranking, Priyanka Yadav, Vice President of ONEFUTURE and Director of Educational Policy Research for India–Israel Cooperation, and Gabriel Mart, Scientific Secretary of the International Burke Institute, argued that cognitive sovereignty needs to be treated as a national priority as it plays a crucial role in shaping ideas, narratives, and innovation in an increasingly competitive global order.

The Sovereignty Index evaluates how effectively nations cultivate independent thinking, critical reasoning, and control over their own knowledge ecosystems.  According to the Institute’s findings, India’s cognitive sovereignty indicators lag behind its economic and geopolitical ambitions, exposing vulnerabilities in education systems, digital knowledge infrastructure, and intellectual autonomy.

Commenting on the findings, Priyanka Yadav, an expert on education reform and cognitive sovereignty, said, “When a nation does not shape its own knowledge systems, it gradually surrenders its ability to shape its future. India needs to bridge sovereignty gap urgently.”

Post-pandemic assessments across multiple Indian states reveal that foundational learning outcomes remain weak, with large numbers of children unable to read or comprehend age-appropriate material. At the higher education level, skill-based studies show that only a fraction of graduates demonstrate critical reasoning and applied problem-solving abilities. Together, these indicators suggest a systemic issue rather than isolated failures.

Yadav emphasized that the roots of the challenge are historical as much as institutional. “India’s education structure still carries the imprint of colonial-era designs that prioritized compliance over curiosity. We have reformed policies and curricula over time, but the deeper architecture of how minds are trained has not fully shifted toward intellectual independence,” she said.

Gabriel Mart, an Israeli global public health researcher and Scientific Secretary of the International Burke Institute echoed this concern from a global perspective. “India possesses immense demographic and intellectual capital. Yet its education and information systems often reward rote performance rather than inquiry. Cognitive sovereignty depends on the ability to question, critique, and generate original knowledge — not simply to absorb it,” he said.

The Burke Institute’s analysis contrasts India’s trajectory with examples such as Uruguay, a smaller nation that has deliberately invested in cognitive infrastructure. Through its long-running Plan Ceibal initiative, Uruguay combined universal digital access with curriculum redesign, media literacy, and institutional autonomy. The result has been near-universal internet penetration, strong research concentration, and a population better equipped to navigate complex information environments.

For India, the irony is profound. Long before modern sovereignty indices existed, the subcontinent was a global center of cognitive autonomy. Ancient universities such as Nalanda, Takshashila, and Vikramashila attracted scholars from across Asia, operating as hubs of original research in philosophy, medicine, mathematics, astronomy, and statecraft. These institutions thrived on curricular freedom, pluralistic debate, and rigorous inquiry — principles that modern systems now seek to rediscover.

“India once exported knowledge rather than importing frameworks. Its scholars controlled both what was taught and how truth was evaluated. That is the essence of cognitive sovereignty,” Mart said.

The experts pointed out that colonial interventions dismantled much of this indigenous knowledge infrastructure, redirecting education toward administrative utility and epistemic dependence. According to Yadav, the long-term impact has been a shift from knowledge production to consumption. “What we see today is not just underinvestment in schools or technology. It is the cumulative effect of epistemic disruption that reduced India’s control over its own intellectual agenda,” she emphasized.

India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 represents a meaningful attempt to reverse this trend by emphasizing multidisciplinary learning, critical thinking, and linguistic diversity. Both experts acknowledge its promise, while cautioning that policy intent must be matched by systemic reform in assessments, teacher training, and institutional incentives.

Beyond classrooms, the Burke Index flags emerging digital vulnerabilities. Limited household internet access, uneven teacher readiness in information and communication technologies, and reliance on foreign-controlled digital platforms raise concerns about who ultimately shapes India’s information environment.

“When a nation’s cognitive space is governed externally, sovereignty is diluted. This is not merely a technology issue; it is a strategic one,” Mart warned.

As the full Sovereignty Index is out now, experts stressed that India’s findings should be read not as a verdict, but as a call to action. With the world’s youngest population and a rich intellectual heritage, India has the capacity to reclaim cognitive leadership — provided it treats intellectual autonomy as a core pillar of national strategy.

“India’s future will be written not only in economic figures or diplomatic statements. Reclaiming cognitive sovereignty is not nostalgia — it is necessity,” Yadav concluded.

Mumbai : The much-discussed horror–comedy film Siharan, produced under the banner of Om Shivay Films, has now been released in cinema halls across India. The film’s official trailer was launched worldwide on the 10th by Red Bulb Studio and received an excellent response from audiences.

Producer Hari Narayan Chaurasia stated that Siharan is a powerful combination of horror and comedy, offering not only fear and full entertainment but also a strong social message.

The film’s lead actress is Aradhana Sachan, while Abhishek Sharma, Jitendra Yadav, and Madhushree Shah appear in prominent roles. The writing, story, screenplay, and direction of the film have been done by Manish Kumar Verma, who has effectively presented strong action along with horror and comedy.

A special concept of betel leaf (paan) cultivation has been included in the story on the suggestion of producer Hari Narayan Chaurasia. The film powerfully portrays the problems of betel farmers, their business, and the exploitation they face from small villages to big cities.

Co-producer Abha Chaurasia shared that the film highlights issues such as regressive thinking in rural society, color discrimination among women, and social inequality. The film is based on women empowerment and conveys the message that if a woman is determined, she can overcome any difficulty.

The producer’s daughter, Priyanshi Chaurasia, plays the role of a news reporter in the film. She said that she liked the story very much and that being part of this project was a memorable experience for her. Dr. Akanksha is seen delivering a strong performance as the village woman Neelima.

Aradhana Sachan has also served as the Casting Director and Project Head of the film, efficiently handling her responsibilities along with her acting role.

The film’s cinematography has been handled by Raj Yadav, whose camera work gives the film an impressive visual touch.

The action sequences have been designed by Beer Master, showcasing powerful action completely at the level of South Indian films. Shot in regions like Satna and Chhatarpur, the film offers audiences plenty of action and thrill.

The film features a total of four beautiful songs, composed by W. Sahis and melodiously sung by Anushka Banerjee. The background music has been composed by Aniket Bhardwaj and Sanket Gundekar. Art direction was handled by C. P. Sen, with Ravi Rangila as the Assistant Art Director, while makeup was done by Guddu Golden.

Producer Hari Narayan Chaurasia informed that the film’s shooting began on 15 October 2023 and continued for approximately 30 days. Major scenes were shot at the famous religious site Atra Sarkar Ji Hanuman Temple in Khajuraho district, nearby forests, and various other locations.

Dhruv Singh Baghel also appears in an important role in the film, while Durgesh Kumar is seen in a significant psychological role. Around 80–90 artists and technical collaborators from Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Mumbai have contributed to the film.

Producer Hari Narayan Chaurasia has also worked as an Associate Director in the film and portrayed the character of Police Inspector Ajay Nayak. Several artists from Chhatarpur district have played important roles, with Rajesh Mahanto being especially notable in the role of an MLA.

Before this film, producer Hari Narayan Chaurasia had already made 52 episodes of a documentary series titled Vindhya Ki Virasat, which were telecast on Doordarshan. He received great appreciation for this work. He has also made a documentary film on betel leaf (paan).

The film was shot at beautiful locations in Madhya Pradesh such as Garhi Malhara, nearby villages, Chhatarpur city, Satna, Madhavgarh Fort, and A.K.S. University. Artists from Satna, Chhatarpur, Rewa, Indore, Itarsi, Gwalior, Mumbai, and Uttar Pradesh were given opportunities in the film.

Bollywood actors Mustaq Khan and Junior Mehmood have made audiences laugh a lot with their comedy roles, while the main villain has been portrayed by Satyam Shukla. Other prominent artists include Vijay Manavatkar, Ajay Srivastava, Neeraj Singh Rajput, K. L. Randhawa, Pratap Verma, Anju Rastogi, among many others.

Mumbai, December 14, 2025 — SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) Mumbai Chapter had its founder and Padma Shri awardee Dr. Kiran Seth during his recent visit to the city. Dr. Seth emphasized the critical role of introducing India’s rich classical arts and yoga to young students at an early age, highlighting how these practices can enhance concentration, patience, and inner discipline, ultimately empowering them to excel in academics, industry, and any career path they choose.

At a recent program and press conference, hosted by Nalanda Public School, Mulund , attended by stalwarts of Indian Classical Music like Pt. Satish Vyas( Padma Shri awardee and Santoor artist), Ustad Kamal Sabri( Sarangi Maestro) and Ustad Raja Miya( Hindustani Classical Vocalist) and Pt. Ronu Mazumdar(Padma Shri awardee and Flautist), Dr. Seth shared his vision.

During his visit in the city, Dr. Seth held talks at IIT Bombay, SBI Payments team, met with Rotary Club International and District Governors and various academic institutions in the city like Pillai University, New Panvel.

In line with this vision, He announced an extensive plan to organise around 150 classical arts programmes across schools and colleges in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region between January and March 2026. The initiative will cover municipal, aided, and private educational institutions, and include lecture-demonstrations, workshops, and concerts, aiming to inspire thousands of young mind.The initiative is supported by partners such as SBI Payments, amongst others like SRF, who share SPIC MACAY’s commitment to nurturing India’s cultural heritage amongst youth.

Addressing the Global Mental Health Pandemic Dr. Seth highlighted a growing global concern: “Students everywhere are facing a pandemic of anxiety, stress, and depression. Many struggle to control their minds and focus, they are constantly stressed ,anxious and unable to focus, causing depression , leading to declining academic outcomes. Our classical music and yoga, if introduced in schools—even if students simply listen—can help ease these issues and foster better outcomes in academics and any fields they pursue”.

A significant backdrop to the Mumbai initiative is the All-India Solo Cycling Yatra completed in 2024 by Dr Kiran Seth, Founder-Chairman of SPIC MACAY. During this journey, Dr Seth cycled 14000 kms across 200+ states, cities, towns, and villages, engaging with students, educators, volunteers, and local communities.The cycling mission aimed to raise awareness about the role of culture in education, encourage physical fitness, environmental responsibility, and simple living, and underline the idea that cultural awareness is integral to responsible citizenship.

Noida, 11 December 2025: The 18th Global Film Festival Noida (GFFN) 2025, presented by the AAFT, burst into life at the legendary Marwah Studios, Film City Noida, with an atmosphere charged with excitement, global participation, and an exceptional lineup of distinguished guests.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT and Global Film Festival, formally inaugurated the festival, proudly declaring it “the biggest academic film festival of the world,” marking yet another milestone in AAFT’s legacy of excellence.

The opening ceremony was a remarkable gathering of film legends, global diplomats, industry pioneers, and cultural leaders, making it one of the most prestigious film festival inaugurations ever hosted by an educational institution.

Mrs. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, Environmentalist, Former Union Minister & Founder of People for Animals, delivered a compelling address on the newly launched CINEKIND Award, an initiative committed to promoting kindness, compassion, and human values through cinema. Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand (Gwans Village): Harish Singh Negi, originally from Gwans village in Rudraprayag district, has today established himself as a successful Head Chef in the hotel industry. Born into a financially weak family, Harish spent his childhood working hard and supporting his family through small labor tasks in the village.

After completing his 12th standard, Harish moved into the hotel industry in search of employment. He began his career by washing utensils in a hotel. However, his dedication, passion for cooking, and continuous learning helped him grow step by step. With time, he mastered culinary skills and eventually achieved the prestigious position of Head Chef.

Harish credits his success to his father, Mr. Shur Singh Negi, a hardworking farmer who supported his family despite financial struggles. His mother, Mrs. Vimla Devi, a homemaker, always motivated him—waking up at 4 AM every day to prepare tea for him during his school days so that he could study with focus and aim high. Harish also acknowledges his sister for guiding him throughout his journey.

Harish initially dreamed of joining the Indian Army, but when his selection didn’t happen, he chose to build his career in the hotel industry. He completed his intermediate education from Government Inter College GhimtolI, Rudraprayag, and is currently working in a reputed hotel in Pune.

MUMBAI — Apna Amitabh is hitting theatres on 12th December 2025. And no, this is not about superstar Amitabh Bachchan himself—but about the much-awaited Hindi social drama film Apna Amitabh, all set for a nationwide theatrical release on the same date.

The classic entertainment social-drama, written and directed by Ajay Anand and creatively produced by Vikas Sharma, explores the deep-rooted struggles of life in Indian villages and small towns. The film highlights the journey of a young boy—son of a sanitation worker—who bravely confronts the challenges thrown at him by his village, neighbours, and local community. Despite constant opposition and pressure, especially from upper-caste individuals, he rises above discrimination and eventually becomes a symbol of inspiration and hope.

Produced by Vikas Sharma, Raghvendra, and co-producer Ramesh Sharma, Apna Amitabh throws light on the pervasive caste system and societal discrimination. The film powerfully portrays how even a child from a marginalized background can grow, evolve, and showcase his talent on equal footing—challenging long-standing norms.

At the heart of the story is Vijay, a young boy and ardent admirer of Amitabh Bachchan. His daily routine—from the way he sits, stands, walks, and even turns—reflects the superstar’s iconic style. Though people often mock him for this resemblance, Vijay turns their teasing into motivation. What unfolds next is a journey only Apna Amitabh can reveal when it releases on the 12th of December.

The President of the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA), Mr. Abhay Sinha, emphasized the urgent need to expand affordable and accessible cinema infrastructure across India while speaking at the CII Big Picture Summit 2025.

Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the summit was held from December 1 to 2, 2025, at the JW Marriott Hotel, Juhu, Mumbai. The twelfth edition of the summit was themed “Connecting Creativity and Commerce in the AI Era” and brought together key leaders from government, media, technology and the entertainment industry.

IMPPA was represented at the summit by Senior Vice President Ms. Sushma Shiromani, Executive Committee Member and FMC General Secretary Mr. Nishant Ujjwal, along with Mr. Yusuf Sheikh and Mr. Manish Jain. The summit was chaired by Mr. Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.

One of the key sessions focused on “Cinema Infrastructure: Building Screens and Modern Theatres for Equitable Entertainment in India.” Addressing the session, Mr. Abhay Sinha highlighted the challenges faced by the exhibition sector, noting that multiplex ticket prices—often ranging between ₹200 and ₹250—are beyond the reach of low- and middle-income audiences. This, he said, has a direct impact on theatre footfalls and the overall growth of the film industry.

Mr. Sinha urged the government to review taxes such as TDS and GST imposed on theatres in order to provide relief and support to the exhibition sector. He also proposed the development of 100-seat mini cinema halls at bus depots and railway stations to make movie viewing more accessible to the common public.

Additionally, Mr. Sinha suggested the introduction of mobile theatres mounted on trucks, each with a seating capacity of 100, which could travel to small towns and rural areas. According to him, such initiatives would open new avenues for entertainment and expand cinematic outreach across the country.

The summit witnessed several innovative ideas aimed at strengthening India’s screen infrastructure and reaffirmed the industry’s collective commitment to inclusive, technology-driven growth.

Najibabad, Bijnor (Uttar Pradesh): Celebrating its first anniversary, Dua Foundation organized a grand mass wedding ceremony in Najibabad, Bijnor, where hundreds of couples were married in a harmonious and inclusive event. The ceremony showcased an extraordinary example of Hindu–Muslim unity, with prominent dignitaries gracing the occasion.

The program, held at Agrawal Farm House, featured Nikah ceremonies for Muslim couples while Hindu couples took part in the Varmala rituals. Distinguished guests blessed the newlyweds and extended heartfelt wishes for their future.

Under the guidance of Abdullah Gulzar (President) and Shameem Ahmed (Vice President) of Dua Foundation, the event was designed to support economically weaker families, ensuring that financial challenges did not hinder their children’s marriage. A Remarkable Example Of Hindu–Muslim Unity: Dua Foundation Hosts Mass Wedding Ceremony For Hundreds In Bijnor

Anisha Sanghani’s first International solo show “Manthan” scheduled at Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery, Nariman Point, Mumbai, December 1–6, 2025., embodies a Mythic Storm of Gods, Plastic, and Conscience. An ocean of kaleidoscopic colors unfurls, punctuated by a glimmer of gold. Gods ascend from the waves, and divinity appears revitalized. Nonetheless, upon closer examination, disillusion prevails. The resplendent display is not divine, but rather a searing commentary, as the gods’ smiles dissipate.

At Manthan, U.S. based Indian artist Anisha Sanghani rejects painting in favor of protest. Her mythic mixed-media exhibition, presents a world that has corrupted worship into waste. Drawing from the cosmic legend of Samudra Manthan, the churning of the ocean, Sanghani reimagines the myth in a world where the nectar has vanished, the ocean is slick with oil, and all that glitters is plastic. This is not Manthan. This is lamentation.

Maa Kali ascends, not with benedictions, but with blood and ire. Shiva grasps not the halahal, but mountains of discarded reverence. Vishnu floats not on cosmic waters but on rainbows of waste. Each canvas, each frame, trembles with sacred betrayal—crafted from acrylics, gold and silver foil, candy wrappers, metal, fabric, plastic, and even fishing net. These materials are not just medium. They are message.

But for Sanghani, this isn’t just an exhibition. It is resurrection. After two decades of work as a senior graphic product and package designer in U.S. the pandemic closed one door, and she opened another. Returning to art school, earning her BFA, reinventing herself as a full-time artist, muralist, and educator—this show is her soul on canvas. Her journey is one of reclamation. And each piece reflects that rebirth.

Manthan’s presence is announced with a wail, not a whisper. A sculpture visibly trembles, as if the Earth itself is experiencing a seismic event. The shimmer is mesmerizing, then unexpectedly piercing. A stark reminder that our oceans are facing destruction, our rituals are losing their essence, and our faith is being entangled in plastic. The exhibition serves as a call to action. Because when the gods rage, it is not thunder that we should fear. It is ourselves.

Manthan is a poignant and thought-provoking exploration of the intersection of oceanic wonders, ancient mythological themes, and the devastating impacts of consumerism, prompting introspective moments of recognition and reckoning. Sanghani’s canvases vividly capture the raw, suffocating terror of a world overwhelmed by its own waste, from plastic-entangled fish to gods in recoil. With a multidisciplinary background in fine arts, textiles, and graphic design, Sanghani reimagines the ancient myth of Samudra Manthan as a contemporary ecological cautionary tale, highlighting the dire consequences of human neglect. Her mixed-media works evoke a sense of both reverence and desecration, as seen in The New Manthan, where a sea turtle navigates through swirling waters as serpents and sea creatures maneuver through surreal mounds of plastic refuse, evoking a world where mythology reels under man-made disaster.

Sanghani’s artistic technique—lush, overflowing, almost seductive—draws viewers closer before confronting them with the brutality beneath. That brutality is not merely imagined. In a haunting set of personal experiments, Sanghani submerged herself in water with her face encased in plastic, attempting to inhabit the suffocating reality of marine creatures trapped in debris. “I became their voice,” she says. The image is devastating: a human being tasting the terror we force upon the ocean’s inhabitants daily. “Art cannot clean the oceans,” Sanghani notes, “but it can remind us of what they mean to us.” Manthan thus becomes a moral mirror.

Each piece elicits questions long buried beneath convenience and complacency. What are we taking from the ocean? What are we giving back? And what will surface next if we do not intervene? “I want to draw viewers in with beauty, only to expose the underlying unease,” she says. Manthan urges every visitor to face that discomfort, beginning their own inner churning toward awareness, responsibility, and renewal. Behold the new Manthan. Allow the radiance to enthrall you. Let the truth awaken your senses. For in this instance, the rainbow has fallen—and redemption is not assured. Nevertheless, there is still time.

Sanghani’s work is celebrated across the United States, India, and Puerto Rico, has won the Conceptual Artist of the Year Award from Art Comes Alive in Cincinnati, the Best Use of Theme Award from Reading Community Arts Center 2024, the Prestige Award from the University of Cincinnati, and the Garden Rotating Trophy from Sophia College, Mumbai. She has judged the Visual Arts Overture Awards for the Cincinnati Arts Association in 2024 and 2025. Her creations have been featured in the Cincinnati Enquirer, Atlanta Gazette, and more. But accolades aside, this show speaks louder than any trophy ever could.

Manthan was inaugurated on 1 December 2025 by distinguished guests, including Ms. Nidhi Choudhary, IAS, Artist, and Director, National Gallery of Modern Art, Mr. Sameer Balvally, founder of the award-winning architecture and interior design practice Studio Osmosis, Mr. Ronak Sutaria, CEO, Respirer Living Sciences, Mr. Rishiraj Sethi, Director, Aura Art Development Pvt Ltd and co-founder of Aura Art, Dilip Ranade, distinguished Indian artist and former Senior Curator at Mumbai’s CSMVS, and Prakash Bal Joshi, renowned artist and author.

Actress Vandana K. Patil, who is making a name for herself in the Hindi and Marathi industries, is among the select few who are forging ahead with hard work, dedication, and a constant curiosity to learn. She has made an impact with her acting in every medium, including films, web series, TV shows, and music videos. In addition to acting, she has also worked as an associate director, and her command of Lavani and Bollywood dance makes her even more versatile.

Vandana understands the psychological layers of each character before playing them. On set, she pays attention not only to her acting but also to camera angles, framing, and technical procedures. Learning from experienced actors, reading books, and improving her dialogue delivery are part of her daily routine. Negative roles are her favorite because they pose a greater challenge in terms of expression, vibes, and attitude, and she thoroughly enjoys them.

Her career so far includes six Marathi shows, two Marathi films, several web series, and Hindi projects. While playing a police officer in the TV show “Partner,” she met Asrani and many other renowned actors, which taught her a lot on the job. Vandana’s Hindi film has already been released on the Shemaroo app, in which she plays a strong cop. Upcoming films include “Ek Tu Hi Nirankar,” in which she will be seen alongside veteran actor Kulbhushan Kharbanda. She plays a pivotal role as a journalist in “Zila Hathras,” which will soon be released on DD One’s OTT platform. Shooting for a new film is also about to begin soon.

Vandana’s journey has been as strong as it has been full of struggles. In her early days, she often had only ten rupees to spend. She often had to choose between eating or buying a ticket for travel. She chose to buy a ticket because reaching work was her most important goal. She didn’t want to compromise her ideals by traveling without a ticket. Many times, breakfast would be over by the time she arrived on set, and she would shoot with complete dedication on an empty stomach. She believes that newcomers to the industry, those without a godfather, promise their parents that they will earn a name through hard work. However, many people, swayed by circumstances or influenced by others, end up going in the wrong direction. Vandana always advises to be patient, because opportunities, even if delayed, will surely come.

She says, “Don’t do anything against your conscience. Do something that makes you feel proud when you look at yourself in the mirror, not regretful.”

She further adds that there are struggles in this world of dreams, but when it does, it gives in abundance.

Vandana, a resident of Nashik, began her acting journey by chance when she came to Mumbai with her friend. There, she met her friend’s friend, a still photographer. A Marathi serial was being shot there. Suddenly, the serial’s team said, “Someone wants to do a two-line dialogue.” Vandana agreed, landing the role. Later, after seeing her on TV, her relatives and neighbors praised her profusely. This gave her the confidence to pursue acting. Back then, she didn’t even know the show was a hit Marathi serial. This moment changed the course of her career, and she made Mumbai her workplace.

Today, Vandana K. Patil is among those actresses who turn struggles into strengths, not weaknesses. In this new body of work, Dadasaheb Yadav steps away from the representational terrains that once anchored his explorations of monsoon, earth, and the fragrant immediacy of Earth. Instead, he enters the atmospheric unknown; an arena where gesture becomes geography, colour becomes emotion, and abstraction becomes a language of its own unrestrained logic. These watercolour and mixed-media surfaces carry forward his lifelong fidelity to nature, but they no longer describe it; they distill it.

The works surge with washes of violet, viridian, cobalt, cadmium gold, and sudden explosions of black; strokes that feel like weather rather than depiction. Yadav has always been an artist tuned into elemental rhythms. Here, those rhythms unspool into pure energy. The paintings breathe in gradients, drips, and splashes, suggesting the moment before a storm breaks, the hush between waves, the twilight blur of sky dissolving into land. But this time, the harmony he invokes is not pastoral; it is kinetic, restless, charged with the honesty of lived experience.

These abstractions demonstrate an artist unafraid to cut away the literal. What remains is an emotional architecture: atmospheres rather than landscapes, sensations rather than scenes. The viewer is invited into a space where colour becomes memory, movement becomes intuition, and the boundary between internal and external worlds collapses. This is harmony understood not as quietude, but as equilibrium born out of flux, nature’s true state.

Yadav’s mature confidence is evident in his handling of fluid media: bleeding edges that resist containment, fields of pigment that collide yet hold their ground. His gestures feel both spontaneous and inevitable, as if the work knows how to form itself. The paintings echo the lineage of abstract expressionism yet remain unmistakably rooted in his own sensibility, devotional to nature but no longer beholden to its forms.

In these works, Dadasaheb Yadav offers viewers not a window to the world but a mirror to their own internal weather. The visual intensity, the chromatic rush, the raw immediacy, all converge into a profound reminder that harmony is not found; it is felt, encountered, and made anew each time the colours meet.

The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in India, in collaboration with the Indo Slovak Film and Cultural Forum of ICMEI, organised a vibrant Festival of Slovak Films along with an Art and Photography Exhibition, celebrating the creativity, history, and cinematic excellence of Slovakia.

The festival was formally inaugurated by H.E. Robert Maxian, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to India, who lit the ceremonial lamp to commence the proceedings. In his address, Ambassador Maxian highlighted the strength and global impact of the Slovak creative industry. He spoke about the power of cinema as a bridge between cultures, expressing pride in presenting Slovak storytelling, artistry, and heritage to Indian audiences.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair for the Indo Slovak Film and Cultural Forum, welcomed the dignitaries and guests. He emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and the role of such festivals in enhancing international cooperation, mutual understanding, and film education. He applauded the Embassy’s initiatives in bringing Slovak cinema to India and reaffirmed Marwah Studios’ commitment to promoting global arts and cultural diplomacy.

The festival is going to screen three remarkable films representing diverse genres and eras of Slovak and international cinema: Invalid directed by Jonáš Karásek, Rebellion directed by Mathieu Kassovitz, Impossible Voyage directed by Georges Méliès.

The screenings offered audiences a unique blend of contemporary narratives, historical reflections, and timeless cinematic magic. A large number of guests—including film enthusiasts, academicians, cultural representatives, and students of cinema—attended the inauguration. The event concluded with an impressive Art and Photography Exhibition, showcasing visual works that celebrated Slovak culture, history, and artistic expression.

The festival received warm appreciation from attendees and further strengthened Indo-Slovak cultural relations through the universal language of art and cinema.
